Finger millet, commonly known as Ragi in India, is a highly nutritious small-grained cereal belonging to the grass family Poaceae. It is one of the oldest cultivated millets, grown mainly in Africa and South Asia. The name "finger millet" comes from its characteristic seed head, which looks like a cluster of fingers.
